An official journal of the Genetical Society of Great BritainHeredity, now in its fiftieth year, publishes articles in all areas of genetics, focusing on the genetics of eukaryotes. The traditional strengths of the Journal lie in the fields of ecological and population genetics; biometrical and statistical genetics; animal and plant breeding; and cytogenetics. Heredity is also increasingly including articles on the new molecular genetic techniques which are now being applied by many research scientists to these areas of study.
