Controlling the dynamics: General strategies to improve the interfacial electron dynamics in highly efficient Zn2SnO4-based dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) are demonstrated. The interfacial modifications are found to be beneficial to the light harvesting and charge-collection properties of DSSCs, which leads to a high conversion efficiency of 6 %, one of the highest among non-TiO2-based DSSCs.
